The resort centre itself is small and charming with cobbled streets leading to the many cafes and restaurants. The central mosque is quite splendid for so small a town. Yalıkavak hosts a street market on Thursdays. There is a lone windmill on the shore, near the harbour, where the local fishing boats moor alongside the visiting yachts, with a narrow beach stretching in each direction. A perfect resort for those who wish to experience Turkey and experience the local hospitality.
